spanx[Blind Gossip] If you thought this Designer was upset about his money woes in the past, you might want to clear the room when he receives the news about his fashion line!

We have this one customer who’s in the music industry. He bought one of the outfits because he had a meeting with [Designer] the next day and he wanted to wear the clothes to impress him. He didn’t really like the clothes, though, and he and his friend were talking about tucking in the tags so he could return them after the meeting!

That’s not nice.

Other than that, there’s no demand for the clothes. They just sort of sat there there. Since the SKUs from the last collection didn’t sell, our store won’t be ordering from the current [collection]. Our customers kept saying that the clothes were stupid. Who wants to pay $1000 for Spanx and sweatpants?

Stupid? Stupid?!

Those clothes are genius! Just like Designer! Orders are gonna pour in from all the other retailers whose customers are happy to pay $1000 for Spanx and sweats.

Imma gonna come over there and educate you about class and taste, Retail Girl!

    This can only be Yeezus’ unholy approximation of fashun. In fairness, maybe he thinks Spanx is clothing because that’s all he’s ever seen the beard/wife wearing.

    Finally just looked at the ‘clothing’. If I were to describe it to someone who had never seen it before I would say it’s:

    Goodwill-meets-concentration camp-meets sci-fi movie, being worn by your little brother or sister (e.g. It’s 2-3 sizes too big). OR its a nude spandex leotard thats being worn by your promiscuous older sister and it’s see-through, skin tight and at least one size too small.

    That’s pretty much it.

    Kanye ! I know what he is thinking ! sometimes out of the box thinking works. He was trying to start a trend by being atypical . His clothing line was part Satire part wishful thinking egotistical Kanye . It just didn’t work but given the economic insecurity of the 21 Century, people want pay outrageous money to be unorthodox . Yes tacky has worked before in all of the Creative Arts ! Timing is everything

    Optional: I would describe his new clothing line as being very basic. The clothes look like they were inspired by video games character. The clothes are not the best, nor are they the worst. However the high price tag on the very basic wear is the reason they are not selling.

      My feelings as well. So glad to see someone shares my thoughts. When I saw pictures of his show (from each year) neither the clothes nor the color changed and the models all look like they’re wearing huge used condoms. Sorry for the visual, but that’s what they look like.

      Their next stop, after they fail to sell in the bargain basement, will be as by-the-pound bundles headed offshore to be turned into rags, stuffing material and so forth. It will be interesting to see if we can find out if I’m right.

      I had to look the clothing line up.
      The men all look homeless. Poorly fitted sweatpants and holey sweaters? That’s not fashion.
      The women look half dressed. They have their pantyhose on the outside of their clothing. It’s bizarre and the models look super uncomfortable.
      It’s really bad.
