This comedic network TV series was just picked up for another season.

The lead actress must be thrilled, right?

No. Opposite!

She’s pissed. She has big plans for a movie career and wanted out. Now that it’s renewed she is forced to stay on for another season.

That’s not all!

You would think she would be grateful to have a steady job. She is actually the most ungrateful, classless actress working today. Everyone on the set hates her. She is a very vulgar, nasty person.

Yikes. She seemed so sweet in her last movie that we had no idea that her real life persona was so different! That’s crazy.

    [Optional] Do you think she will be a big movie star? I was shocked at how vocal she is about being angry her show got renewed. She literally tweeted about crying when they announced the renewal and wrote the word “dislike” on the Instagram post that was meant to celebrate Fresh Off the Boat returning. I’ve always loved her and hoped to see her succeed, but being a petulant jerk to the people she works with might hinder that.

    Fun fact, kids. Watch interviews of the cast of Crazy Rich Asians – there’s far more chemistry and banter between Henry Golding and Gemma Chan than between Golding and Wu. Seems her unpleasantness was on that set too…

    Optional: probably not. Especially if shes truly difficult to work with. But after Crazy Rich Asians I doubt there will be a lot of roles for her that would allow her to be a “movie star” unfortunately. Her movie career would likely consist of small projects and non-leading roles.

    I don’t think she will be a big film star, most since I don’t think she has that much screen presence. For me the best parts of “Crazy Rich Asians” were the supporting cast members like Michelle Yeoh, Gemma Chan and Awkwafina. The two lead actors, Constance and Henry Golding, were not that charismatic or interesting to me.

    Awkwafina and Comedy Central, she was in crazy rich Asians movie. If I was rude, vulgar and disrespectful at my job I would get fired. Whoever it is, I assume she has gotten away with being obnoxious because people make money off of her. I choose not to be part of her revenue stream and instead spend time with nice people. I think the nastiness will prevent her from being a star.

    Asian Americans are really under-represented in film so I think she does have a big opportunity. Just look at FOTB. The middle son is half white. Looks very weird that they never address his mixed heritage with a plot of some kind. However, she is nasty and needs to clean up her act.

      She may be an awful person, idk,& she certainly shouldn’t be publicly saying these things, they make her look like a spoiled, privileged brat. I do however understand WHY she’s so upset. FOTB went from a wonderful show, putting a marginalized culture in the spotlight, into a tired trope highlighting just one negative stereotype-Wu’s character portrays a crazy, overbearing Chinese mother. Every ep is about that.

      Publicizing her feelings was beyond inappropriate, but I get why she wants out.

      Well that sucks and I feel for her coworkers, Randall Park is wonderful. Too bad they can’t just replace her without impacting the whole dynamic of the show and cast. Hope her careers tanks because of her attitude .

      As an Asian person, I actually find her very off putting. I’m surprised people didn’t pick up her “nasty” side earlier when she went on a crazy rant against Matt Damon in his atrocious movie The Great Wall. There’s a way to communicate you’re mad against an injustice…and then there’s Constance Wu crazy vulgar rants. Soon after that she was cast in Crazy Rich Asians and I’m guessing she thinks she’s hot s**t now LOL
