Multi Versus Challenger

woman being accused[Blind Gossip] This multi-hyphenate is having a good year and a great awards season. However, she is facing her second controversy in as many weeks. This time, another woman is challenging her legitimacy as a nominee.

Multi wants that trophy badly… so her team is discussing a sneaky plan to stop Challenger.

Challenger is currently facing problems at home with her celebrity spouse. Her relationship is quite shaky at this point. In P.R. world, that presents an opportunity for Multi. She can have have her team shift the press’ focus directly at Challenger’s bad romance.

That way, Challenger will be so busy defending herself that awards season will be over by the time she can go on the offense again… Multi could have walked away with another trophy!

    Just read a couple of interviews with Gaga about the song and she said “the song was kind of already done when I read it”. “We just changed a few things”. Changed a few things is a far cry from ‘co-wrote’. In another long a billboard interview with the songwriter, she doesn’t mention anything about Gaga writing, just using her vocals to change the feel of the song. Sounds like Gaga was an editor, not a writer. She shouldn’t qualify for an Oscar. I hope the Academy looks into it.

    This has to be Lady Gaga being nominated for an Oscar for the song “Til It Happens to You” from Hunting Ground. Linda Perry is saying that Gaga doesn’t deserve the nom as Diane Warren wrote most of it, and Gaga is on it for publicity purposes.

    This is the horrible Lady Gaga who is finally being called out for being fake. I hope she doesn’t get the Oscar. She shouldn’t have gotten the Golden Globe either.
    Linda Perry called her out on this but backtracked, I guess Sarah Gilbert told her what to say.

    Is this still Linda Perry talking about Gaga not deserving a writer’s credit on her oscar-nominated song? Who cares about Linda Perry’s marriage? I don’t even really know who she is and had to google who she’s married to. Nobody cares.

    It’s definitely a dirty tactic. I didn’t think it was possible for me to lose any more respect for Gaga. New low.

    Also, this kind of proves that Linda is right or else they wouldn’t care…

    Optional: As much as I dislike Gaga, I wouldn’t call it a “dirty tactic” to be honest. Perry came out as a sore loser by trying to rain on Gaga’s parade, she can’t complain if she gets mud flung at her in return. But I wouldn’t call it “smart move” either, because I doubt trashing her detractor will help Gaga win an Oscar.

    eh, it’s awards season, so people will do whatever they can to win. It’s also fairly typical to give writing credits to the celebrity in the writing process even if they only wrote one word (see Blurred Lines). I think Linda Perry is a huge Diane Warren fan and thinks DW should be getting more credit that Lady GaGa is giving her.

    Over exposed-overrated, overthetop, etc Gaga AND LInda Perry, It’s a dirty tactic but it MIGHT be smart. Well, as much smart as the Academy members are dumb, so, quite smart.

    Rn, i am hoping Gaga to be smackdowned, at least a bit, she has become insufferable, she and her whole act. But i guess i have to wait a bit for that. Better, it will be juicier when it will happen.

      Agreed! She is so fake and annoying anymore. And I hate how everyone seems to ignore how off her rocker she acts now- just weird and out of it, sporting tons of obvious BAD plastic surgery.
